Phil Davis Goes Old Skool for the Spinto Band’s “The Living Things”

Phil Davis teaches video art at Towson University, I believe, and in his spare time spends countless hours animating fantastical semi-monstrous figures using an “x-sheet,” an antiquated page-by-page technique dating back to the early sound cartoons of Walt Disney.

His work on the Spinto Band’s “The Living Things” music video has received a lot of attention, including a spot on NPR’s All Songs Considered blog.
